Welcome to Shownook. By accessing or using our website and services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or purchasing a ticket on Shownook, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent) and that you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Platform Description

Shownook is a marketplace and streaming platform that connects event organisers ("Organisers") with attendees ("Users"). We facilitate ticket sales and live-stream access but do not ourselves organise, host, or guarantee the quality of any event.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and current registration information.
• You agree not to share your account or allow others to use your tickets or stream access.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Ticket Purchases

All ticket purchases are final subject to the Refund Policy. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay — by making a purchase you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.

• Tickets are non-transferable unless the Organiser explicitly permits transfers.
• Duplicate or fraudulent tickets will be void and denied entry.
• Digital tickets and QR codes must be presented at the venue for admission.

5. Streaming Access

• Stream access is personal and non-commercial. Recording or re-broadcasting stream content is strictly prohibited.
• We employ DRM and technical measures to prevent unauthorised downloads.
• We are not liable for stream interruptions caused by the User's internet connection or device.

6. Organiser Responsibilities

Organisers who list events on Shownook agree to:

• Provide accurate event information including date, time, venue, and content description.
• Honour all sold tickets and stream passes.
• Notify Shownook and attendees promptly of any cancellations or changes.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including venue permits and performer rights.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Platform without our written consent.
• Attempt to bypass any DRM, access control, or security measure.
• Resell tickets at a profit ("scalping") unless explicitly permitted by the Organiser.
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including the Shownook logo, design, software, and text — is owned by or licensed to Shownook and protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute our content without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shownook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including event cancellations by Organisers, technical failures, or loss of data.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shownook, its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
