Death is not the definitive end of existence; rather, it marks a transition to a different state of being. On Baishe Srabon, Rabindranath Tagore departed from this world. However, his profound insights, expressed through his timeless songs and poetry, offer a perspective that transcends the limitations of mortality. Rather than perceiving Baishe Srabon as a conclusion, BWS chooses to celebrate it as a harmonious part of a grander symphony.
With our unique and exclusive perspective on Baishe Srabon, BWS aims to celebrate life itself, embracing and finding solace in Tagore`s songs and beliefs. Leading the programme with her melodies will be gifted Rabindra Sangeet singer Jayati Chakraborty. In the first half of the programme, we will also be joined by Raja, a popular RJ and. masterful storyteller Amit Mitra, who will weave a narrative on eternity and mysteries of life and death.
In the second half of the programme, Jayati Chakraborty will regale the audience with a mesmerizing performance of Tagore`s timeless songs that continue to resonate and leave a lasting impact on listeners across generations.
Join us at Kalamandir on August 20 at 6 pm as we gather not to mourn the departure of Tagore on Baishe Srabon, but to honour his legacy, and find solace in the wisdom and songs he has left behind.
